Ummah Wake Up Call

Malek Bennabi once said that if we were colonized, it is because we were colonizable:
"Today, if they strike us down, it is because we are strikeable."
For decades, the Western Muslim community has been organizing, but never in a way that builds real weight, real unity. We keep repeating the same cycle; initiatives emerge in isolation, and we never come together as a true, organized force. Personal interests, apathy, and cowardice are eroding our values. When will we stop fighting among ourselves, divided by nationalism or mere ego? Are we going to wait until we have all been silenced? Read this poem, written during the rise of Nazism in Germany:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
Now, replace those groups with: "Ikhwan," "Tabligh," "Salafi," "Ash'ari," "Takfiri," "Sufi," "Algerians," "Moroccans," "Turks," "Khariji," "Maliki," and so on…
More than half a century after the accelerated arrival of Muslims in the United States, Canada, France, or Belgium, our community still has no real political or social weight. Almost no lobby to defend us. Yes, the state played its role in keeping us divided. But did we really expect those who dislike us to help us organize and unite? Did we make our own efforts, both individually and collectively? This message might serve no purpose, but the complete absence of concrete action is pathetic.

The Lesson
Did the Prophet ﷺ not warn us?
The nations will soon summon one another to attack you, just as diners invite others to share their dish. Someone asked, 'Will it be because we are few in number?' He replied, 'No, you will be numerous, but you will be like the foam on the sea. Allah will remove fear of you from the hearts of your enemies and place weakness in your hearts.' Someone asked, 'What is this weakness? 'The Prophet said, 'Love of the world and hatred of death.'
(Abu Dawood)
Allah ﷻ commands us:
Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly.
(Qur'an 61:4)
We have the knowledge. We have the resources. The only thing missing is the will to act.
