The screening will take place on May 8th from 1:45 PM to 4:30 PM at the CSU Lounge, Hall Building, 7th floor, Concordia University.
The event will begin with a full showing of The Battle of Algiers, widely regarded for its realistic depiction of resistance and urban warfare during Algeria’s fight for liberation. Following the screening, attendees are invited to stay for a panel discussion examining the film’s enduring legacy, the history of resistance movements in Muslim-majority countries, and broader themes of decolonization.
